"Beauty from Ashes: An Exhibition of Armenian Art, Music, and Photography from Karabakh"

The Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust, founded by Baroness Cox of Queensbury, organised a concert and exhibition entitled "Beauty from Ashes: An Exhibition of Armenian Art, Music and Photography from Karabakh". The evening featured music from Armenian artists followed by short talks from Baroness Cox and Ambassador Karine Kazinian . The proceeds from the concert and the auction will be going to the HART’s continuous work in Nagorno-Karabakh.

As Baroness Cox explained in her speech, the title of the concert is a symbolic representation of the true spirit of the Armenian people, who do not lose their creativity in times of war and disaster and continue to build and create beauty from ashes, withstanding the tragedies of the history.

Baroness also spoke about the rehabilitation centre, which she helped to establish in Stepanakert and which has now become an internationally recognised ‘centre for excellence’, inspiring hope and introducing change throughout Caucasus. The Rehabilitation Centre in Stepanakert has transformed the lives of those living with disabilities.

Ambassador Kazinian paid tribute to Baroness Cox for her activities in Nagorno – Karabakh, expressing her gratitude to HART foundation and Lady Cox personally. She also thanked the artists for the unforgettable evening and stressed the importance of developing cultural, political and economic ties with the United Kingdom. The British Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Aves was also present at the concert.
