 The Chairwoman of “Shakespeare Club English-Speaking Association” of Armenia Mrs. Natalie Jryan and Director General Mrs. Narine Kochar visited the United Kingdom on June 26 – 30. The purpose of the visit was to explore the possibilities of cooperation with the British side in promoting the English language and literature in Armenia, as well as further promotion of dialogue with the local Armenian community.

In the framework of the visit, the Embassy of Armenia in the United Kingdom organized the meeting of the representatives of the Association with the members of the Armenian women associations and organizations operating in London. Mrs. Jryan and Mrs. Kochar gave comprehensive presentation of the activities and programs of the Association. The members of the Armenian community had a chance to address their questions to the guests. In a warm atmosphere they discussed and exchanged views on different projects and initiatives.

The representatives of the Association were hosted at the headquarters of the “The English-Speaking Union” in London. The sides discussed the prospects of cooperation and implementation of joint programs between the Armenian “Shakespeare Club English-Speaking Association” and the “The English-Speaking Union”.

Armenia's “Shakespeare English Speakers Association” representatives also had a meeting at famous ‘’ Shakespeare's Globe Theater’'. During the discussion the sides touched upon the possibilities of implementing mutual cultural and educational programmes on Shakespeare’s legacy both in Armenia and the UK.
