On May 12, an event dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia was organized by the ‘May 28 Committee’ in London. Numerous representatives of the Armenian community participated in the celebration.

The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom was represented at the festive event. Armen Liloyan, Chargé d'affaires a.i., addressed the audience. He particularly touched upon the historical significance of the First Republic. He emphasised that the Armenian people, who survived the Genocide, due to their unity, managed to establish a state after the May heroic battles. The First Republic, despite its short existence, left an indelible mark in the history of the Armenian people.

Hrach Kaysadian and his orchestra invited from Lebanon performed during the evening.
