On June 11, the event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership was held in Dublin.

The event was organized by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in cooperation with the European Movement of Ireland and under the auspices of the Romanian Presidency in the Council of the European Union.

Speaking at the event, Ireland's State Minister for European Affairs Helen McEntee emphasized that Ireland will continue to actively support the EaP program, which has accomplished a number of achievements over the past decade, including the development and deepening of economic ties both between EU member states and partners and cooperation amongst the partner countries.

Among the tangible results, the State Minister mentioned in particular the signing of the Association Agreement with Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova and the signing of the Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement with Armenia, expressing hope that Ireland will ratify it by the end of this year.

In his speech and in his remarks, delivered at the panel discussion with the participation of the representatives of the partner countries, the representative of Armenia underscored that the EaP has played a great role in the deepening and expansion of the EU-Armenia relations, contributing to the sustainable development of our country. Noting that partnership with the EU is one of the most important dimensions of the Armenia's foreign policy, Aram Araratyan stated that it is based on common values, which are also the foundation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement. The Armenian representative also emphasized the importance of promoting people-to-people contacts within this context noting that visa liberalization is the most important tool to strengthen these ties.
