Armenian Summer Festival in London

The annual Armenian Summer Festival was held for the eighth time on July 14 in London’s Ealing District.

The festival was organized under the auspices of the British Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The opening ceremony was introduced by Bishop Hovakim Manukyan, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Aram Araratyan, diplomat of the Embassy of Armenia, Steven Pound and Rupa Huq, members of the House of Commons, Abdullah Gulaid, Mayor of Ealing.

The event started with a moment of silence in memory of Armenian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Arman Kirakossian.

Hundreds of participants and guests of the festival had the opportunity to enjoy Armenian art, music and dance, and to taste Armenian cuisine. Separate pavilions featured a number of British Armenian community organizations and Armenian brands presenting their activities to visitors, as well as exhibiting Armenian cultural heritage, traditions, and history.
