Celebration of the 26th Anniversary of Armenia’s Independence in London

The concert dedicated to the 26^th Anniversary of the Independence of Armenia took place at the Armenian Church of Saint Yegiche in London, on 23^rd of September. The event was organized by the Armenian Community Council of the United Kingdom under the auspices of the Embassy of Armenia and the Diocese of the Armenian Church. The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, as well as members of the Armenian community were in attendance. The representative of the Armenian Embassy welcomed the guests and delivered a speech reflecting on Armenia’s achievements since independence.

Sona Rubenyan, a young and talented singer, who was invited from Armenia for this occasion, and London-based singer Andre Simonian performed patriotic and folk songs in Armenian and English.
