23.01.2012 • "King John" in Armenian at Shakespeare's Globe
World famous Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre has announced 2012 World Shakespeare Festival, which will be opening this year on the 23rd of April in London. Artists from all over the world, including Armenia, will be presenting plays in their own language. Armenia will be represented by Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theatre who will be bringing Shakespeare’s "King John" and playing it within the architecture Shakespeare wrote for.
07.12.2011 • Ambassador Karine Kazinian presents her Letter of Credence to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Today Ambassador Karine Kazinian presented her letters of credence to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. In her meeting with the Queen, the Ambassador underlined the importance of political dialogue between Armenia and the United Kingdom, as well as the development of economic relations. Ambassador Kazinian presented Armenia as a part of old civilisation and the challenges that Armenia faces as a 20 year old new democracy. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II wished the Ambassador every success in her mission.

The Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust, founded by Baroness Cox of Queensbury, organised a concert and exhibition entitled "Beauty from Ashes: An Exhibition of Armenian Art, Music and Photography from Karabakh".

01.04.2011 • Grimshaw Club Member Students' Visit to Armenia
Today the deputy Minister of the Foreign Affairs Arman Kirakosyan received the LSE (London School of Economics) students, who are also Grimshaw Club members. At the meeting Mr Armen Kirakosyan spoke about the priorities in the foreign policy of Armenia, the relations with the neighbouring countries, Armenia’s position on present regional and international issues, as well as responded to the questions posed by the students. The Grimshaw Club is a student society affiliated to the LSE International Relations Department, which was established in 1923. It is the oldest student society of London School of Economics. The students travel to different countries to closely examine the pressing regional issues and meet high ranking officials. In Armenia, the students wish to learn more about the Nagorno Karabakh issue and meet with RA officials.

Ambassador and Mrs. Hasmik Gabrielyan welcomed ladies from the British Armenian community at Mrs. Gabrielyan's annual Ladies Reception to celebrate Motherhood and Beauty Day, a public holiday introduced in Armenia after the country regained independence.

An exhibition of reproductions of works from the "The Children's Art Museum of Armenia" and "The Matenadran" (National Depository of Manuscrips in Yerevan), depicting around 115 works opened in the High Wycombe Library.
